Come On Baby Light My Fire
It’s true that Smoky the Bear says, “don’t play with matches.” And your mama says, “don’t play with fire.” So why not flag down the Fire and Wine Butler at The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay and let him stoke the flames? Better yet, ask the butler to bring you a piping hot chocolate, spiked with peppermint schnapps from the hot cocoa bar. Go ahead -you’re on vacation – this is your time to pamper yourself!
Put another marshmallow on the stick
Trying to impress your Valentine on this special day? Reserve a S’mores kit from the Ritz and toast a marshmallow from the fire pit outside your Terrace fire pit patio room. Does life get any better than this? Well, yes, it does! The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay knows how to turn up the heat on your romantic getaway.
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways:
- Rose petal turn down service
- Bottle of chardonnay or sparkling wine chilled and waiting in your room
- Arrange a signature massage treatment for your loved one or a couples massage in one of 16 treatment rooms
- Golf anyone? The Half Moon Bay Links course has heart-stopping views
- Listen to bagpipes at sunset
- Splurge on The Ritz-Carlton Club Level Experience
Valentines Day all about romance
While Valentines Day is all about romance, The Ritz-Carlton makes every guest feel like a VIP on a daily basis. From anniversary and birthday celebrations to corporate retreats and weddings, The Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay delivers service with a genuine smile.
I was fortunate to celebration a milestone birthday recently at The Ritz Half Moon Bay. From the gatehouse check in, to the front desk staff and the Club Level concierge, I was welcomed with multiple happy birthday wishes. While I went whale watching the next day, sailing from nearby Pillar Point Harbor, my husband and son enjoyed the Half Moon Bay Links course. Our Ocean View room, #568, was located on the Club Level and rented for $465 during low season. If you are willing to splurge to the Club Level, you’ll be treated to afternoon cocktails, hors doeuvre’s and multiple cookie jars with the best darn house-baked cookies this side of grandma’s kitchen. Walk the grounds of the property and when you circle back to your room, it will be time for desserts and cordials. The Club Level breakfast features an array of fruit, hot quiche type item, pastries and bagels, juices and more.
Spa Treatments and 24 Hour Fitness Center
Nothing says, ‘relax’ like a 50 minute massage treatment. When I asked what made the signature treatment unique at The Ritz-Carlton Spa, my attendant said that many guest were not sure of the difference between a Swedish massage and deep tissue massage. True to The Ritz-Carlton style, your spa treatment is custom-tailored to your liking. You determine the depth of the pressure and where you would like extra special attention focused for sore areas, if necessary. Remember; it’s all about YOU!
Insider Tip: Save time for the quiet room after your spa treatment and a dip in the whirlpool. Bathing suits are optional in the women-only hot tub if you forget your bathing suit. There is also a candlelit, co-ed Roman mineral bath if you prefer your bubbles outside of a champagne flute.
FYI:
Valet parking is $45.
